Open Rath Policy
All Kiths, Houses, Kinian, Arts, or Gallian published in The Shining Host and The Shining Host Players Guide are available for play. However, each character concept will be evaluated individually by the Storyteller to see if they fit into the setting of Millennial Sunrise. Players will be expected to keep in mind Setting and Theme when building their character. The Storytellers has final veto right over any and all concepts, however the Storytellers are open to working with the player to build a concept that fits in the world of Millennial Sunrise. If approved for a Gallain concept please refer to our Gallain page during character creation for rules clarifications and additional guidelines.
Age Policy
This game is open to those under the age of 18 when accompanied by Parent or Guardian.
Title, Station, and Holdings
Title Background capped at Level 2. Holdings Background is unavailable. Political Connections Background is restricted.
Court Retainer positions are open for play for Commoners. The local Lord keep a Retinue. All Player Characters of Court Retainers are given the required Status traits for free to activate the Investment at character generation.

Player characters who are Titled or are a Court Retainer begin play with an Oath of Fealty to Lord Elijah Ap Liam. Squires have the option of vassalage to a Knight in Lord Elijah’s service instead.

Childling 4-13. 10 traits. Glamour 5 Banality 1 Willpower 1
Wilder 14-30. 13 traits. Glamour 4 Banality 3 Willpower 2
Grump 35 and Older. 16 traits. Glamour 3 Banality 5 Willpower 5
Any traits gained from Birthrights, House Boons, or Merits can allow a kithian to exceed these limits.
Free Traits
All Player Character are given an additional 5 Free traits at character generation. Also due to the setting and themes of Millennial Sunrise, all characters are given an additional 5 traits in Abilities from the following list: Computer, Academics, Science, Drive, Greymare and Kenning.
